After all, the perfect holiday hair is the perfect way to complete your look! Keep reading for our favorite holiday party hairstyles of 2019 and how to recreate them at home. Hint: thicker-looking hair enhances any Christmas hairstyle so don’t forget to add Toppik Hair Building Fibers to any of these looks.

Holiday Hair: Our Favorite Looks of 2019

The Crown Braid

A blonde woman looks at the camera, her hair in a crown braid circling her head.

We love this elegant, playful holiday hairstyle because it works with all hair textures and it’s so easy to pull off. We personally think this hairstyle would look great when paired with a velvet jumpsuit or a sequined dress!

First, part hair down the center, then braid each section and fasten with a small, clear hair tie. Gently massage the sections of the braids, to slightly loosen and make hair look fuller. Next, wrap the braids over the crown of your head and secure with bobby pins, taking care to tuck the ends under the braids. Then, carefully pull a few face-framing strands from the updo. To finish this holiday hair look, use the Hairline Optimizer perfecting tool to apply Toppik Hair Building Fibers along your hairline to get a flawless, natural application of fibers that instantly disguises any sparse areas around the face.

The Pineapple

Looking for the easiest New Year’s Eve hairstyle? Look no further. The pineapple is the perfect holiday hairstyle for showcasing those natural curls. Just pull hair into a high ponytail on the top of your head. Loosely fasten with a scrunchie or a spiral hair tie. Then pull out a few face-framing curls to finish the look. Easy peasy!

The Ballerina Bun

No matter your age or hair type, you can’t go wrong with a simple ballerina bun during the holidays. This is the perfect holiday hair look to show off some sparkly earrings or a cute turtleneck sweater.

Start by adding a little bit of Toppik Hair Fattener Advanced Thickening Serum throughout your lengths. This hairstyling serum has a concentrated  keratin formula that adds volume, thickness and shine to hair. Brush your hair into a ponytail at the crown of your head and secure with a hair tie. Twist the ponytail into a rope and wrap around the hair tie, using U-shaped hair pins to secure the rope as you go. Tuck the ends underneath the bun. Finish with a mist of hairspray.

If you have thinning areas around your hairline, use Toppik Hair Fibers to instantly conceal hair loss. Statically charged fibers create a magnetic effect, clinging to even the tiniest hairs for a natural look that lasts until you wash your hair. So you don’t need to worry about your Fibers fading while you’re at your holiday party!

The Twisted Ponytail

Have shorter hair? This holiday hair look only requires enough length to put your hair into a ponytail. First, part hair in the middle. Next, take a section of hair above your right ear and twist towards the back of the head, securing with several bobby pins along the way. Repeat the twisting on the left side of the head. Then, gather the remaining hair into a ponytail. Finish the look with hairspray to eliminate flyaways.

The Bow Tie

We love adding a ribbon to a Christmas hairstyle for an extra festive flair.

Start by washing hair with Toppik Hair Building Shampoo, which has a lightweight formula that won’t weigh hair down. Translation? Your hair will look fuller and bouncier. Then follow with Toppik Hair Building Conditioner, which nourishes hair with a complex of keratin and aloe that leaves hair looking stronger, thicker and healthier. Blow dry hair or allow to hair dry.

Once hair is completely dry, add some loose curls with a large-barreled curling iron or wand. Part hair on the side, then brush back hair starting at the crown. Pull back the top section of hair above the ears and secure with a hair tie. Then, gently pull on the sides of the secured section to create a flattering, draped look. Using a ribbon of your choice, tie a bow around the hair tie to finish the look.

The Big Bun with Accessory

Woman smiles down at something unseen. Her hair is in a big bun on top of her head with a red scarf tied dramatically around her dark brown hair.

This holiday hair look is super-easy for anyone to pull off. Plus, it actually looks better with dirty hair, so it can save you a little time getting ready. That’s definitely a plus during the busy holiday season!

Brush hair into either a high or low ponytail. Then, twist into a bun and secure with bobby pins. Don’t have a lot of hair? Fake extra thickness in your topknot by using a mesh bun insert or a rolled-up sock. Follow with a shake or a spray of Toppik Hair Fibers to make your hair look naturally thick and full. Finish with an accessory like a bow or ribbon, or go with something bling-y like rhinestone bobby pins for some added sparkle.

Tip: to keep this style from looking too bridal, avoid crystal or white floral hair accessories. Finish the look with hairspray to eliminate flyaways and frizz.

The Baby Bun

This holiday hairstyle has a bit more of an edgy vibe than our other party hairstyles. First, divide hair into two sections at the crown. Fasten the upper section into a bun and secure with bobby pins. Either straighten the lower section of hair with a flat iron, or use a 1 ½” barrel curling iron to add loose waves. Whichever styling method you choose, make sure to use a heat protectant first! Finish the look by applying Toppik Fibers to cover any thinness and exposed scalp between the upper and lower sections of hair.

The Faux Chignon

It may look like a sophisticated chignon, but this holiday hair look is so much easier to style! First, place a sparkly, stretchy or colorful headband over your hair. Starting at the temples, take small sections of hair and loop them over and around the headband, leaving the front part of the headband exposed. As you work your way towards the back of the head, use even larger sections of hair. Tuck any remaining hair between the headband and the back of the head. Then, finish the look with hairspray to hold everything in place.
