At our core, Toppik is devoted to offering solutions for hair loss and hair thinning. While these two issues are important – and quite frankly, almost everyone will experience one or the other at some point in their lives – most people aren’t willing to talk openly about them. I have been a long time user and fan of your products. I can’t begin to say how much better my hair looks when I use your fibers. I has a series of transplants some years ago and Toppik fills in the gaps very nicely. I have one nagging issue I hope you can help with. No matter how careful I am, I always seem to get a lot of fibers under my fingernails during the day which makes it look like I have dirty fingernails. I must subconsciously touch my hair. I do apply hair spray after I use the fibers. My guess is I use so many fibers that the spray can’t lock them all in place. Do you have any suggestions for how to reduce this? My nails are fairly short now – would longer nails be less of an issue? As a guy I have never had a manicure. Would a clear polish somehow act to repel the fibers or at least make them easier to wash away?
Hi Mark! We’re so glad you love our products. Hopefully I can help answer your questions. I don’t think putting clear polish on your nails will help in this situation. I would actually suggest using our Spray Applicator when you are using our Hair Fibers. The Spray Applicator helps you direct the Hair Fibers as you apply, but it will also help with “portion control.” Sometimes people don’t realize how much Hair Fibers they’re using, and the Spray Applicator is a great way to help with this problem. You also won’t need to touch your hair if you’re using the Spray Applicator, so hopefully this will prevent you from getting the Hair Fibers stuck under your nails. I hope this helps!
