Your Hair Problems – Solved!

What’s holding you back from having a great hair day? Everyone has an issue with their hair that they wish they could fix. Luckily, many of these hair problems are quite simple to correct. Read on for a few of the most common hair dilemmas and how to solve them!

Staticky Hair

Dry air can cause your strands to become electromagnetically charged, and over-brushing and winter hats can exacerbate the problem. Switch to a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and use a leave-in conditioner to keep your hair from getting too dry.

Tip: You can also use dryer sheets to tame static attacks on the go!

Dull hair

Your hair isn’t technically a living part of your body so you can’t “heal” it , but you can fill in damaged areas by using specially formulated shampoos and conditioners. These products coat the cuticle of your hair to make it look shinier and healthier and prevent breakage.

Breakage and split ends

Regular trims will help to prevent breakage by removing split ends. Split, frayed ends can actually travel up the shaft and cause the hair to break off. That’s why it’s so important to visit your hairdresser for regular trims!

To prevent split ends from forming in the first place, follow these hair care tips.

Thinning hair

If you suspect your hair is thinning, first visit your doctor to make sure that your hair loss isn’t caused by a nutritional deficiency or medical condition. There are numerous possible causes of hair loss, and many are treatable. If your doctor diagnoses you with one of these issues, follow their advice on how to reverse your hair loss.

If your doctor tells you that you have androgenic pattern hair loss, there are many steps you can take to battle its effects. In the meantime, try using Hair Building Fibers or Colored Hair Thickener to instantly disguise any thin areas or scalp show-through.

Brassy hair

If you have grey or blonde hair, environmental factors can cause your light hair to take on an unwanted brassy or yellow tone. To combat this, use a violet toning shampoo once every week to neutralize the unwanted yellow tones

Overgrown roots

If you are in-between hair colorings but your roots are out of control, you can use Toppik Hair Building Fibers to disguise those unwanted roots. Simply apply the shade that most closely matches your dyed color with the spray applicator and you’re good to go!

Lack of volume

If your hair is looking flat on top, make sure that you are only applying conditioner towards the middle and ends of your hair and away from your roots. Heavy conditioners tend to weigh down the hair causing it too look flat and lose volume. If this doesn’t work, try a product like Root Volumizing Spray and blow dry your roots to get the lift you want.

Greasy Hair

An easy short term fix for greasy, oily hair is simply to spray dry shampoo into your roots, massage, and brush out. However, if your hair is always excessively oily, you may need to actually wash your hair less often. Overwashing your hair can cause your scalp to overproduce oils. So invest in a great dry shampoo!

Is there a toppik – like product with sunscreen in it. I have several pre cancer spots on my scalp and hate the thought of putting regular sunscreen in my hair. Toppik with sunscreen would be great
