How Toppik Changed Adam’s Life

Hair loss affects the vast majority of American men. In fact, by the age of 50, about 85% of American men will have significantly thinning hair. But hair loss doesn’t just affect older men. Approximately 25% percent of men who suffer with male pattern hair loss begin to lose their hair before they reach the age of twenty-one. This was the case with Adam, one of our user group participants.

“Toppik improves your attitude and it just makes you happy.” – Adam

Adam’s Story

Adam first noticed that his hair was thinning about 15 years ago, when he was in his early 20’s. “The crown of it was starting to thin, and I could see my scalp,” he told Toppik. For Adam, losing his hair at a young age made him feel old.

Adam’s hair started thinning when he was in college. Feeling self-conscious, he began wearing baseball caps to help mask his hair loss and growing insecurities. The first time Adam tried Toppik Hair Building Fibers the results changed his life, he couldn’t believe how natural it looked.

Growing up, Adam prized his hair. “It used to be like really thick, curly and like floppy. And so I’d do all kind of crazy pony tails and designs with it.” Now that his hair is thinning, he can no longer wear his hair long.

Adam questioned whether his treatment of his hair had caused it to fall out. “Did I wear too many hats? Did I cut it too many times and it got mad at me? Did I not use the right kind of conditioner or the right kind of shampoo? It was like, how did I mess up?” Unfortunately, male pattern hair loss can occur no matter how gently we treat our hair.

In most cases, hair loss in men is caused by male pattern hair loss. Male pattern hair loss is caused by a combination of genetics and hormones. Heredity plays a major factor. Although there are ways to slow down thinning hair, hair loss is usually caused by factors beyond our control.

Working in the television industry, Adam was exposed to several hair regrowth treatments.

“One of the hair stylists had given me some really high-end, expensive shampoo type of thing…it was like three different bottles. One’s a shampoo, one’s a conditioner, one’s like a treatment. I was just like, I don’t want to have to go through all this.”

The system was too complicated and too expensive, so he quit using it and shaved his head. By the time he spoke with Toppik, he was committed to having a shaved head. “This is what my life is and this is how it’s going to be, so to hell with it,” he said.

Adam’s Experience Using Toppik Hair Building Fibers

At first, Adam thought that Toppik Hair Building Fibers were too good to be true while on set with Toppik. “They’re going to like shoot pictures and they’re going to do some Photoshop and it’s going to be, oh look at his long, wavy hair,” he thought.

But then he saw the results. “Then they showed me the mirror and they spun me around and I was just like, damn. You know there was no other way to really describe it. It was amazing!”

Using Toppik made Adam feel younger and appreciate his appearance more. “This is exactly how I used to look 20 years ago,” he said. He was also surprised by how easy it was to use Toppik. “[When] the professional hair folks did it, you know, they got really intricate in how they were putting it on there…I mean I’m not a barber or a stylist, but just on my own, I feel like I got pretty close.”

Now Adam wears Hair Building Fibers almost every day, especially if he is planning on meeting new people and wants to make a good first impression. He praises Hair Building Fibers for their mood-boosting effect.

Adam’s friends were also impressed. “When I first started doing it and I came to work, people were like, ‘Whoa. I bet your wife is looking at you now!’” But what was even better were the people who didn’t make a comment, because that meant that the Hair Fibers were completely undetectable. “I think the fact that when you wear it, it’s not obvious, so strangers aren’t commenting on it, is what you want,” Adam says. “People don’t know that it’s not real.”

Toppik is for Everyone

For Adam, using Toppik Hair Building Fibers is all about expressing yourself and improving your confidence. “I could see how people could call it a sense of vanity, but I think that it’s about expressing your self-worth and kind of like what makes you feel good.” He likens using Toppik to exercising. “It’s no different than people that they want to lose a little weight so they go and they work out. They’re not working out to be vain, they’re working out so they can feel better about themselves.”

Adam also loves that Toppik is accessible to anyone. “I think that it’s an amazing, altruistic thing that the creators of this product did. It could be something that is for the elite, like something that is a Hollywood secret, but it’s not. It’s something that regular people have access to,” Adam says.

“It’s not your fault that your hair is thinning. It’s genetics and it’s your background, so you shouldn’t have to suffer for that. And if you want to do something about it, Toppik allows you to be able to do something about it without having to rob a bank or be a movie star.”

Compared to hair restoration procedures, Toppik is just so much easier. “This is something that you can wake up, take a shower, brush your teeth, grab a thing, shake it, spray it, spritz it, however you prefer to apply it. It takes like five minutes, maybe 10, and it takes years off,” Adam says.

Overall, Adam recommends Toppik Hair Building Fibers to anyone affected by hair loss.“I could never stop saying positive things about it,” he says.
